Currently interviewing for a PM position at EA Orlando. I have been given a huge case study, starting with a game teardown (4 options) and then some further rounds. I'm a gamer, but I've never worked in the gaming industry. I'm trying to find some helpful material that will help me with the preparation (case studies in gaming, pointers for game PMs etc) Please help!!! Currently, PM with 2.4 yoe in retail Current TC: 60K (🥜) No bonus. No stocks. Current location: NJ #gaming #pm #product #productmanager #productmanagement

Just play the game and write down your thoughts. Think logically about them and remove any that you cannot be certain about. Unless it's metrics related, it is a bit subjective so you have some leeway. Familiarize yourself with all the basic, high level metrics you can track like ARPDAU, Conv, DAU etc and think about what the engagement markers can be. Try to incorporate these in your case study to add rationale to your decisions.
Thanks @mirkwood. As of this moment, I have cleared the superday and they've called me for one final round of interview with the leadership. I'm clueless of what I should study for this one. Any insights about what the leadership would focus on?
It's just going to be a conversation to find if you're a culture fit. Be yourself and don't worry too much about this one. At this stage they're looking for danger signs that may prevent them from hiring you rather than finding out if you can do your job. All the best :)
