I worked at a smaller indie company with a lot of people super full of themselves. People did things stupid ways (mismanagement of funds, talent, time) and everyone was treated like they needed to be leashed.
Blizzard ( my team, anyway, and they are really different) has been good about praising initiative and I am actually surrounded by really brilliant people, about 80% of which are not full of themselves. They are very helpful people. The pay here is very low for what they ask of you, the stress is high, and we've taken a beating in the public eye lately which is always really harsh for morale. It's especially obnoxious considering your average employee has nothing to do with what the public is mad about. The insurance is good, I like the location, and I like the people I work with.

Im not surprised that G interns are doing better than blizz full timers. Shit, BLIZZ interns do better than blizz fulltimers. The interns get a great place to stay near campus and they get paid more than enough for food/life (since blizz pays their rent).

That’s better than my TC as a full timer. I can’t afford to live in the village/the park apartments. Lol

Look into FB gaming maybe, they're growing and hiring. I know there is at least 1 former Blizzard designer on the team and I was at Blizzard previously as well.
