Any thoughts about Expanse and its future? I’m looking to apply for software engineering position. Referrals are appreciated.
I worked there until recently! Overall I'd recommend and think they'll do well in the future
Thanks qwertyexp!
I also worked there until recently. Founders try to hide their total lack of strategy by building a cult of personality. If you aren't of the the OG dudes, you won't ever be taken seriously. They are spending money like crazy, but not earning anything, and their biggest contracts are all services (which doesn't help on the software side, or for calculating ARR and helping valuation.) They will likely do a down round of funding this year just to be able to pay people. Huge tech debt, and no plan to fix extremely brittle code base. Just save yourself some pain dude and go somewhere else.
One more note, they have ~150 employees, but I was there about a year and counted over 40 people quit. Churn is CRAZY once people get in and see what's under the hood. Most of the leadership has left except the founders. Not good man.
