Being offered an IT position. Oversee 200 or so staff across multiple offices, with Chicago as main location. Formal offer pending. I think I'm currently underpaid so no idea what is a reasonable offer. Any guidance? YOE: 30 TC: 175k
Not too familiar with IT but $175k for MD?? Seems stupid low no?
Actually pretty high for md and there’s no tech scene really
MD = managing director not Maryland
Damn I make more as a VP in IT at JPMC with 5 years experience. They are super low balling you.
LOB / Location?
What technology are you in?
500k for MD - that’s starting salary. I would ask for stock too - initial grant. At ED level they may not give you initial grant.
No way it’s that high
MD will make that much..its not easy to b there..as ppl often get stuck being a VP
I too came from CME Group
Don't know if this is troll, but for overseeing 200 people is defintly North 175k. If they offer low, could be a dead team, and you'll get pushed out within a year or two
He is telling his currently salary and looking for guidance on what to ask.. IMO
Ahh probably, I was following others lead looking at his current lol
@jedibong you're the first one here to spot it...obviously ppl here are reading challenged 😂
Ask for 500k if MD
Did I read it wrong or rest of the folks, I think OP posted his current TC not JPMC Offered TC.
Yes, I'm currently in an ED/SVP role at my firm. That's current TC. Not sure what to ask for, but everyone seems to agree I'm low.
200k base and 50k bonus is standard ED offer.
That seems more reasonable. Also op are you commuting to Delaware?
Seems low for the experience and the amount of employees you’re overseeing, best to look at comps at other relevant firms and ask peers in the industry
The TC is OP’s current TC, not the offer TC
