Benchmark ? Just do the damn phone interview and you will have your benchmark. Amazon phone interviews are doable. Leetcode medium questions. No tricks. Just need to communicate and articulate well.
RUN. Jk. See if you can complete algos under these general time limits LC Easy - 5 to 10 minutes LC Medium - 15 to 20 minutes LC Hard - 40 - 45 minutes (this can vary a lot) And just keep grokking the System Design questions
Are these times for optimal solutions or just working solutions? Would you say that style matters or should I focus on speed and accuracy?
Optimal. Just have a consistent style and aim to write clean easily understandable code. Speed is more Facebook. Accuracy yea solve the edge cases and answer it optimally. Once you can reach these optimal benchmarks, you can ready for other FAANG interviews as well. Oh except LC Hard, sometimes that must be done in 30 minutes along with another LC Medium in one sitting.
