With so many tech companies and people leaving, daily bad news about murders and property crime, is it still worth making it a homebase? Or just look elsewhere?
A lawless city where anything goes. I vandalized a car (that almost ran me over) in front of a cop at a red light and he just shook his head in disappointment at me. Didn’t bother to try to arrest me or the driver that almost ran into me.
It’s pretty awesome if you want to simulate being in a mad max movie
If you like Fentanyl overdoses, welcome
I don’t understand what these people are talking about. SF is a beautiful city and as long as you avoid the tenderloin, it’s always seemed safe to me
They are comparing it to cities like Singapore and more rural areas with less concentrations of people. They just have problems with the politics of the city. That, and that property crime is somewhat tolerated more than other cities.
Ya I haven’t found San Francisco to be more sketchy than any other major American city.
Going back implies you left for a reason(s).... Depending on those reasons there's probably a good chance they haven't improved since you left.
SF is definitely not the place for overpaid hipsters looking to have an urban address like it was, but it's still not that bad if you know where to look. I wouldn't advise living in the Tenderloin or Western Addition, but it's still better than some right wing dump like Arkansas or Florida.
I am the type of person who wholeheartedly bought into leftist bullshit. FTP, BLM ✊🏿, etc etc. Sf is a disgusting shithole
