How is EPAM Consulting? I got offer from Slalom and EPAM Consulting. Both are partners with all the 3 cloud providers. EPAM deals with large retail clients and Slalom will medium sized clients. Which one is better? Have you heard about these?
Base and title in EPAM is more than what Slalom is offering me. Just wanted to know if EPAM is bad.
Oh, hmm. Slalom is more known in Seattle area. EPAM isn't very good IMHO - push Slalom to do better is what I'd try. If the Delta isn't bad, I would err to Slalom.
The offers I got are in Toronto. Do you still think I should go with Slalom?
Aren't both Russian companies?
Epam is a Belarusian company
I think US based. I got offers in Toronto.
I'm sure they are Russian-owned. Would not touch with a 10ft pole.
Can you share both offers?
Slalom - 120K base senior cloud engineer title. Epam - 140K bass cloud architect
Architect positions in EPAM usually great and interesting, challenging.
I work for epam in the 2nd time of my life. I personally love this company we have good colleagues and room to improve
How much do they pay to a senior Java developer in the US?
I work for EPAM for 4 years in US. Great place to work, good atmosphere. If you are ok to be a consulter/contractor for clients - you will like it.
Does epam file L1A and green card in eb1..?
Yes
They will start processing your gc after 1 year of employment, you will pay every fee except PERM. They have no interest in a quick gc process so they will put you into eb3, if you are lucky, eb2. The gc process takes around 2-3 years with them (assuming there is no queue) whether the avg processing time should be around 1.5-2 years.
Guys, I have question regarding EPAM policy - let’s say you are full-time employee of EPAM working on a project in Google onsite. While you are still in this project does EPAM allow you to directly apply for full time job in Google and join ? Thanks in advance !!
Why not? You are not slave.
I asked because some consulting companies have agreements with customers due to which they cannot hire employees. For example Apple , Cisco cannot hire Infosys employees unless there is some understanding or no-objection letter. Especially it becomes tough if the employee is on H1B
I'm familiar with both. I can't think of a good reason to choose EPAM over slalom, location and TC being equivalent
Then why Slalom over EPAM?
EPAM is an outsourcing operation seemingly only competing on price. Slalom is a respectable consulting company. If you're in the US, you'll be expensive in their eyes compared to their eastern European contingency
