I used to work for them. Great company, good stocks. No BS. The only thing i hated is that i always was given PCs… not a mac. Thats why i jumped ship. ;)
Yes I hate this as well, I specifically requested for mac or any linux system it got rejected. PC sucks, PC is ment for people to play games not development. And for me I see companies who mandatorily provides pc for development work as mediocre companies.
Not sure about you, bt for L4+ if you request Mac you can get it even if it's not project need. For project need, of course you will get it
We used to use them as contractors for years at a software company I worked for, basically a full time offshore development team. The contractors I worked with were great, really took ownership and helped us out greatly with product knowledge/technical design proposals, etc.
Yes this is the sad part with EPAM, you would be a contract employee.
The EPAM as a company is ok, they have a learning culture, the management is not bad, so far didn't find any toxic managers, they're supportive of employees. The only problem is you would be working for some other big brands as a contract role. As this is the EPAM business model they can do nothing about it. As long as you are fine working in contract role for other brands it is a nice place. By the way consider posting TC Update Taking a U turn. EPAM is shit don't join them, so far I thought it was good but only when you have an issue you see the real face of the company. My manager is using some shady tatics to make my life difficult I am in notice, the moment they knew I am leaving they are trying there best to make my life miserable. I am talking about EPAM India specifically
Have found that EPAM pays at or below market rate for engineers so make sure to share TC here if you want feedback. Overall an okay place to work because I have not really enjoyed the projects I’ve been on. This might not be an issue for everyone but was for me as a new grad.
It's good company with learning culture, transparent policies, lot of incentives. Like others mentioned mostly you end up working with clients, it's important because most of the wlb depends on it
I was assigned to it. It’s shit, unclear directions, everyone is toxic. Don’t really recommend it aside from the pay
Merit based promotions. Support for role transitions/rotations. Support groups and trainings to help prepare for promotion interviews. International mobility support. Awesome engineering excellence and learning culture. Better pay than other big Indian MNCs in software outsourcing. Management listens to employees but recent hires from typical Indian outsourcing companies may ruin it for worse. Recent Ukraine war has brought down the shares drastically. May reflect in finances in coming quarters. You may not get to work with the smart ones in each project as hiring standards seems to get lowered when there is hiring pressure to meet the demand. DM in case you want to know anything specific about it.
I have technical interview lined up for senior data engineer. What kind of questions should I expect? Thanks.
