Got to know every month someone from each team is getting let go off. They are hiring people from meta and lowballing new hires and also firing people working there for 2-3 years. That is really sad.
Probably depends on the team - I haven’t noticed this in engineering / eng related orgs Sales is always an ejectable seat at c3, and project management teams there might be added pressure or a much higher bar now
The “firings” we’ve had recently have all seemed very random and not all performance related. Managers have kept quiet but my sentiment is that they’re quiet layoffs.
It’s still happening, and nowadays, we’re going every day anxious to work… we never know if it will be our last day, even if we bring excellent results: they can come and tell us we have a poor performance. That's it! A lot is being talked about in RWC corridors these days.
Do we see more coming??
In which organisation are you seeing this happening? Is engineering impacted? Or mostly sales? Customer solutions?
Isn't it mainly a services company? What products do they have?
Most of the value to clients comes from the platform (or just the application but it relies on the platform) they buy, and then they also buy some services to set it up and get running. Once that’s done there’s no need for services if there are no expansion plans. So no not a services company.
Yeah this feels accurate. I think TS is trying to get around WARN act by laying off people "for cause" every quarter.
