Witnesses told the Information last month that the robot, which was designed to move aluminum car parts, pinned the engineer and sank its metal claws into his back and arm, leaving a trail of blood along the floor. The engineer was programming software that controls robots whose job it is to cut car parts from freshly cast pieces of aluminum. While two of the robots were disabled so that the engineer and his crew could work on the machines, a third was inadvertently left on — resulting in the attack two years ago, witnesses told the Information. https://nypost.com/2023/12/26/business/tesla-factory-worker-attacked-by-robot-which-dug-claws-into-back-arm/amp/
Scary
Well if they don't feed them, what do they expect
Yeah so I’ll stick to software and not for robots lol
This is from 2022
My first thought was that this is a post from that Maven clinic guy
The SWE slacked during work, and the Robot was programmed by Musk to look for slackers. Googlers watch out
The injury was apparently not severe enough to require the employee to take time off from work.
Idiotic scare mongering. The word "attacked" suggests malicious intent - there was no malice and no intent. If you burn yourself on a hot stove while cooking dinner, the stove didn't attack you. This was just an (unfortunate) workplace injury caused by malfunction and carelessness.
