Asking for a friend. They’ve been offer a job as an Analyst in Texas with base 55k, but were expecting something around 80k. Any inputs from EY folks on the salary structure and tips for negotiation would be much appreciated. Also they’ve applied for multiple roles but were shortlisted for this one first, is it possible to switch teams internally? How difficult would that be? YOE- 29 months #tech #analyst #datascientist #ey #sanantonio #offer
55k is stupid low no matter what function
Just quote 85k and walk away for anything less than 80k
Unfortunately, 55k isn’t surprising if your friend is offered a staff (vs senior) rank. Pay at EY can be very inflexible depending on service-line, location, and rank. Switching teams may not be hard, but switching service lines will be challenging due to internal politics.
If you are in one of the SDC offices , which I am very sure you are . Yes, such pay parity exists. However, it totally depends upon you if you are looking for an exceptional career growth or just the numbers incase this is the start to your career . Hope that helps.
That's crazy low. I got hired June 2021 at EY for Senior DS with <2 YOE at 125k and 10k bonus in Austin. That's a big difference from Staff to Sr. I would expect 80k minimum not 55k.
Yes at staff level at General EY offices you would be paid atleast 80k but same is not the case for EY sdc offices in which the above guy works who asked this question . For EY SDC offices there is a difference of atleast 30k for each role with the same designation and hierarchy as compared to Regular EY offices .
That’s way too low, it should be minimum 75K for Texas

Jesus that’s way low. Pay makes me believe it’s an internal role. Don’t join big 4 if you’re not client facing
