Word on the street is EY is the most recent big four to do layoffs
43 today in audit in ATL
This was the second round this year in the southeast. I guess we are just getting our ass kicked from a business perspective. Any other big four experiencing this?
There have been large layoffs in Deloitte and PwC this year as well. It is our turn at the moment
Pwc has a hiring freeze
Well, we over-hired. We had over 3000 hours of staff and seniors (advisory only) combined that were available just for December. This 3000+ is just for the DC metro area.
Man, this make me nervous.
What's the severance package like? Does anybody know?
i have heard there is strategic shift in all big 4 to move majority of audit jobs to offshore model and resultant of which, the weaklinks are facing the wrath.
There was another round this week in Indirect Tax - not sure of the numbers
Yep. Low performing staff 2s and seniors in Assurance. Southeast, Northeast, and Midwest are the main areas affected.
