I’ve heard a lot about the Early Careers program at GS and similar programs at competing banks. Can anybody here speak about their experiences with this program or another similar one? How do the opportunities offered in this program compare to the typical analyst positions in terms of compensation and career path?
Can you elaborate a bit more on the length of this program and what different departments they say they’ll take you through? I’ve had experiences with programs that last 3 days to 2 months. All of which focused on giving you exposure to all departments so you can see “all that the bank has to offer.” At the end of the day, one of the most value adds is the connections it offers you with HR and employees in the certain departments you’re interested in
I started through the new analyst program out of college and have had a pretty good experience so far. Only complaint is low pay but that probably differs by department. I have a pretty diverse and cool team and a very understanding manager if I ever need time off or anything.
