Current TC: ₹35 LPA fixed [IND] YOE: 5.5 I am right now 28 years old and want to pursue MS. But kind of confused. Is this the right age to pursue MS now? As I will be graduating at 30 and after paying loan at 31 will be starting again from 0. Also VISA stress and marriage problem (Yes, I want to be stable at right time) after 31, all the struggle in USA. Is it worth going for MS now considering my current salary at India. Also I could use these 3 years to build something of my own in India. How is the scenario in USA right now and will be. VISA stress is hyped or the situation is that much worse over there? #MS #Software #Help #CS #Engineering #SDE
i recommend joining MAANG in India and take international transfer to US. If you want to change domain then pursue MS
Visa issues are real
Join MAANG 12-18 months transfer. You can take a detour singapore or uk or canada to usa , enjoy life with good paycheck instead of zero pay as student , MS wont teach you anything you don’t know and all industry trends are best learnt on job. <Did my MS in usa in 2017 returned due to India due to visa trouble > H1B slavery nightmare is pure madness. However, if you are extremely lucky you might sail through without any hiccups.
Why did you return, Not picked up in the lottery for 3 years? Or you were pissed off with the VISA system.
Also, is the American dream still real? Appreciation for your skills is what I am seeking. I want to be in the USA only for that reason to do some real work. MS is just a way to get there.
Jealous of your TC
Same doubt, my startup does have support to move internally to US, so wondering whether i should take it. 5.5 yoe, 80LPA
