Ebay MTS offer. Numbers and seeking general advice.
Offer as follows:#offer #tech Base : 170k 10 percent target bonus Rsu : 100k vested over 4 years Sign on Bonus : 40000 Is it a good offer? Is eBay worth joining? Safe for Visa (H1b) holders? Work Life Balance? Or should I wait for an better offer? I've done 350+ LC and kinda confident to crack few other companies. Just haven't been able to get interviews due to hiring freeze / low hiring etc. Can I push for more TC? So first year TC in Ebay would be about 235k, which seems refresher it can hover in around 220k maybe. After that depending on refresher Tc : 175k. YOE : 5 yrs Location : Greater Seattle Area
How much real/hands-on coding experience do you have?
A lot. And the team tech stack is close to what I've been working recently, so picking up the work isn't my concern. Oh, the marketing tag is just to avoid doxxing. Been an SWE forever
TC for 5 yoe is very competitive, but keep in mind that MTS1 is borderline A - SDE3 / G L5 . So for the amount of responsibilities, it is average pay in Seattle. If you really like the team and the project, please go for it as it is a great offer for 5 yoe. Ps: Your real TC is 170+25k +10% = ~210k target. Don't get fooled by the guaranteed Refresher bs of ebay. It is highly dependent on the budget, how well your team gets funding next year, and how well ypu licked your managers coochie. I would count only guaranteed pay as TC for comparison
