I'm biased as I'm at unity, but I would say your profile as a candidate will be higher at unity. Which is actually a pretty meaningful thing for someone early in their career. Also I'd bet unity's benefits are better than eBay. As we get more paid time off as a starter and have a pretty good 401k match.
What’s pretty good??? It’s just 3 percent
4% match
eBay benefits are awesome, also stock up like 300% in last three years. Easily will 10x next five years. eBay gives you consumer internet experience at massive scale. And every Silicon Valley recruiter will ping you every other month thinking you are unhappy since you don’t work for Google, which while true or false means your options are open.
This is 100% true, I get pinged left and right. Just haven’t had the motivation to leetcode. But very very easy to get calls due to the massive scale at which eBay operates.
bro, eBay is just keeping your h1b safe, and that makes you feel safe, that's why you're there
Blind adheres to rule : eBay/🍌 < company X < MANGM Go with the team you like Not company or 🥜.
Unity. I own way more unity stock than eBay and I work here
Unity all the way. Can’t say about SF, but their Bellevue office seemed to have good culture. Also, their products are loved and cherished. If you’ve strong TC preference there are better options compared to eBay
Unity. That stock will make up the difference in pay and the culture is pretty good.
Had to look up what is Unity! I’d say look bit deeper on both companies before deciding.
Go to eBay and put all money into unity stock. At Unity there's insider trading windows.
I’d choose Unity. Not a huge difference in TC, Unity has way more upside than EBay. Familiarity will only make it better, they can switch to something better than both later.
