Hey blind, Was wondering if anyone could share some behind the scenes as it pertains to education focused initiatives at Google (or other big tech) and where I can go to learn more. I feel pretty intrigued by how technology is allowing us to share info at an unprecedented pace, and was curious to see what bigger tech companies are doing to leverage its scale and user base to change the industry, especially as the student loans are ballooning to unsustainable levels. For example, was wondering why are college courses still being recorded on archaic video recording systems and not being streamed live so students everywhere, in bed at 8am or on the other side of the world with no access to public ed, can tune in to learn whatever they want to learn. And then with some custom form of gsuite, all assignments and notes can be shared amongst each other.
Because colleges don’t want that?
Well, not necessarily. Most of the bigger research universities post their courses publicly on YouTube after the fact. Was wondering why people don't just live stream it in this case if their whole motto is spreading public knowledge
Gsuites does have classroom assistance tools. Sharing notes, on the other hand, is something already possible without gsuites, if the instructor wants to use Google docs and Google drive. Or any number of outside tools
Another place to consider is CZI (Chan Zuckerberg initiative)
That's pretty Interesting actually. Thanks for that tip

Why do Indians support Israel so much( on blind surprisingly) when Israel really thinks 💩of them ?
Who's going to grade the homework assignments and answer questions at office hours?
Office hours would likely still be the ta. But wondering why this isn't done over day Google hangouts, especially on a rainy day
I am not sure TAs are able to accommodate thousands of students during office hours
