If you use DoorDash, you’d have maybe noticed that they’ve started combining multiple orders in the same delivery. It’s like UberX Share, but 1. without your consent 2. No discount So this often results in orders being delayed by 30 minutes or an hour. Previously, if you contacted support, they’d at least be apologetic about it and give you $5 off. Nowadays, they’re like “so what?” I found out that if the order is delayed by more than 15 minutes from the ETA in the order email, you can cancel the order and get a full refund. Not sure if this applies only for DashPass ( I’ve it for free through my credit card). So here’s what I do 1. Pick a particularly busy time to order 2. Order gets delayed 3. Contact support and cancel it 4. DoorDash eats the loss If the order doesn’t get delayed, no problem, I just put it in the fridge and have it the next day. So far, I’ve been doing this once a week for the past 5 weeks. Just sharing 😊 #doordash
Your parents must be proud of you for being a human gem! Do you even know these dashers drive for 30-40 mins to bring food to you?
Which part of “DoorDash eats the loss” stumped you?
The part in which the dasher gets no tip. You are a classic psychopath.
There are some assholz that don’t pay tip. You have taken that aholery to a new level. Thank you for being a human gem!
Here’s a box of tissues to wipe the froth off your mouth 😊
I don't get what this is supposed to accomplish
Not much, except some monetary loss to DoorDash, but that’s just pennies for them.
lol
Do you get the free food once you cancel the order or you don’t ?
I don’t.
If I am the driver and someone cancel the order when it is already in my car, I would eat it instead of dropping it off.
You literally wasted more of our money (value of time) slogging through this dumb idea.
These kind of loopholes if you do that enough they will close your account. If you are so cheap and want to spend time this way, learn to cook, or eat peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
OP is not cheap. He doesn’t even get the food. Op is wasting their time for a minuscule loss to DD. It made sense if OP was the driver who kept the food for free by delivering to his own address late.
Your food is delayed because you don’t tip to begin with
fuck you doordash. pay your courriers a god damn fair living wage and stop guilt tripping your customers to cover your employee salaries that you cheap out on america needs to ban you from this country. you’re far more dangerous than the likes of tiktok
yeah, blaming customer on your shitty service is really low, @dd
Thanks for sharing, will try. But will it hurt my stock gain?
what’s more interesting is that you can go write a legal demand letter to doordash and address it to their counsel. threaten them with some arbitrary amount, 50 bucks, 100 bucks doordash credit etc. the issue is. if they don’t comply and you actually sue them and take them to court, and you somehow win, that’s ground for everyone else to sue the shit out of them and it becomes a legal nightmare, so most likely they will quietly settle, because it’s not worth the cost to fight it and risk the 1% chance of a multi million dollar loss outcome so settle and then ask your friend to send the same email over time. it’s more worth it for the company to just fix the product than to risk the litigation outcomes

Does the delivery person get screwed? I’m guessing yes
Highly doubt it. I’m guessing DoorDash is undoubtedly aware that bundling orders can cause delays, they just expect the customer to accept it.
Why is that your business? If the consumer is being pushed around with shitty SLA it’s their right to push back. DD can block the user if they disagree with the behaviour, and the delivery guy can give the finger to DD if users keeps cancelling orders on them. Let the proper market tensions work themselves out, no need to simp.
