How many of you here have used or heard about WeChat? I’ve been using for years, pretty darn powerful! It is like a combination of Instagram + WhatsApp + Facebook(meta) + Slack + PayPal + FaceTime + maps and more to it. Super easy to use and fast! Be honest, I have not yet seen any American social chat app is as great as WeChat. So happy Elon took over Twitter!!!
Best part is probably payment like venmo. Speaking of monies, TC or GTFO
No thanks. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/features/2022-07-12/wechat-is-china-s-beloved-surveillance-tool
No matter what these idiots do , apple is going to be the real winner with the 30% tax
The PM in My previous company used WeChat as a case study for a positive user experience
Never going to happen. Only reason for WeChat in China being what it is is because of CCP.
App is just an app. Yeah, WeChat in is indeed controlled by CCP however, future Twitter (future US WeChat) doesn’t have to be that way and everybody still can enjoy the convenience of what WeChat provides
We're never going to have the equivalent of WeChat in the states. WeChat is ubiquitous because of CCP
Yup twitter would be a super app run on dodgecoin
With his current style of leadership, good talent will not work for him. Great products come out of love and not out of fear for layoff.
Tesla and SpaceX are pretty successful, no?
Both products are hardware, we all know how good Tesla autopilot is right?
Two different demographics. What evidence is there that Americans want to do instant payments on a social media app
Why would Twitter be the one to do it? Whatsapp keeps almost pivoting to it. The problem is the US consumer generally pushes bacm.
as a consumer I’d love a superapp. the US government generally hates monopoly tho.
I’ve been using both WhatsApp and WeChat. Still WeChat wins. The only reason I used WhatsApp is due to safety. You know Chinese government definitely monitoring the foreigners who are on WeChat.
