End of Self

My mind is already controlled by ticktok, YouTube, email, computer. Stimulation. I can’t move or escape. I’m home all the time on my computer. I have a good life though. Maybe this is the way. I think I’m particularly susceptible due to adhd. I don’t want to take meds to alter my brain chemistry. Would it make it easier or harder to escape?

That’s the place anyone could give you is listen to some podcasts on Adhd and educate yourself It’s a very misunderstood condition that actually can be a superpower Look at David Neeleman

Superpower 🤮, I see this dumb take all the time, usually by some self help / motivation guru charlatan, it's a mental health issue, it's not a superpower, what's next is diabetes also giving you some latent abilities

What do you mean by escape? No matter what you think or feel right now, do not hurt yourself. DM me and I will be happy to chat I am also addicted to my phone and don't go out much and it is making me depressed. As new year resolution I am working on reducing my phone time and going for walks/runs more and also staying away from phone/PC as much as I can. I am starting to feel better. You are not alone, happy to chat more. Don't think it and don't do it

I need help too. Pls tell me how you managed to reduce phone time?

The phone sucks me in and I feel like an addict, I need to keep scrolling down and it can go for a long time, and it makes me feel very bad I tried to zoom out and use my brain without distraction, I remind myself of the old times where phones weren't like this, I try to read a book or distract myself by talking to other people. I also try to be out and walk, this way I am forced to not stare down my phone. This works most of the time because I feel like a functioning human being without looking at my phone. Keep it up, one change at a time. Also, try to force yourself to not take it with you when you are home to the kitchen when you are preparing food or the restroom etc so you force yourself again to disconnect

Your brain chemistry is already controlled by the digitally messed up dopamine cycle. Why would you let negative things alter your brain chemistry vs not letting other things do it which may be beneficial for you? I am not saying drugs are the only option, but what's the point of discarding them if a qualified doctor (which you should see) would advise? Also try multiday hiking, that is my digital detox go to.
