Update: It's not a bragging post, just sharing my journey, I am not super rich either, many people here have the NW a few times more than mine. Today, after 14 years since my first job, I am finally bidding farewell to the 9-5 job life. I am immensely grateful to The Almighty, the software engineering career and the tech community as they pulled me out of poverty (more on this towards the end of the post) and paved the way for financial independence and early retirement (FIRE) at 36. Thanks to my loved ones too. I will definitely allocate more time to my hobbies and interests, as I've never had enough time and money for them since childhood. I am not ready to retire entirely; instead, I plan to dedicate a few hours a day to start something on my own after a few weeks of well-deserved time off. Have you ever experienced such a juncture? Any tips, suggestions, or comments? Update on NW and lifestyle: Personal NW around 6 cr INR + a house and car paid off. Apart from this, I am going to inherit around 2x of this. Have a separate corpus of 25 Lakh INR to keep me afloat for another 2 years, while I figure out the next move. I have been living at my farm house in my village (near a 2 tier city with international airport, fancy malls) for 6 years now and will always be here, we are leading a simple life e.g. a car worth 12.5 lakh INR and mobile worth < 25000 INR. Update on family poverty: A national highway is built which passed through our agriculture farms. We got lucky because of price appreciation. Until around 15 years ago, we were just doing farming with a little income. Last TC 77 LPA remote #tech #FIRE #job
Can you share some numbers?
Congratulations 👏 Many aspire, very few achieve what you have. Enjoy! If you feel comfortable, do share about your FIRE journey.
thanks a lot, wish you the best.
How much savings do you have? House, Car and Investments and kids education budget? Do you plan to live in Tier2 or Tier3 areas?
No, I feel like I've been hustling from the day I was born.
:)
How are you going to talk about fire without sharing your net worth or plans on how much you can spend each year?
Congratulations man!
Thanks.

For sure, thanks and wish you the best.
Congrats OP. Happy for you. This is the dream for most blinders! One question - how were you in poverty if you're going to inherit 12 crores?
Congrats man! 👏
