I came across a Google recruiter and also talked to a googler, he literally said "We ask all leetcode DSA questions, but i have never used any of those in my 7 years at Google" What's the point, folks? Will Google ever realize their stupid interview process? It's like Indian GATE exams where everyone feels very proud of writing 300 word answers.

Look at the OrangeGod comment below, I just posted this and he came up to prove that "proudness" in asking leetcode πŸ’©

IBM is giving out modified leetcode questions that dont even make sense in English because most of them are written by indians in india

Both are huge corporations and have a high variation wrt hiring bar. You need to be at the top of your interview game to crack Meta because the process incentivizes candidates and interviewers to be near robotic. Highly gameable. Google could pose harder questions, but the process allows for the candidates to display their chops and get noticed, which is possible without being at the top of your game. Highly dependent on the interviewer. 2020-2021 bar was low by their previous standards. Unless you are a SME, Google hiring external candidates is non-existent in 23/24 in USA.

You guys are funny. i don't know how you feel so proud of this interview process. isn't talking for 30 mins and asking related questions enough to judge what a person can do?

Who said I am proud of it? I am simply letting people know about my experience. People who are 10 times smarter than me came up with these processes and it has clearly served the companies well so far.

Google because its hiring far less than meta and attrition is all time low

Meta Opxp82 Mar 17

Why does it matter But google

Meta knightmode Mar 17

Anecdotally, I got into Meta but not Google. So there's that. Nevermind that I never interviewed at Google because their remote work policy was inferior. I wouldn't have made it anyway.

Google GNsp11 Mar 18

Same but backwards :')
