Engineering Salary at Amazon vs Google
I think Google's TC band is L4: 300-370k (I am at 350k) L5 (senior): 360k - 440k L6: 430k - 530k What are the bands of Amazon engineering? I heard mid level getting paid 400k. Is that true?
Wud be surprising if u get 320+ for L5 and 400+ for L6 in Seattle. Market has inverted

Amzn has been adjusting people down as the pandemic boom caused people to be making L+2 money. Similar to what folks at NVDA are getting today. Not sure if NVDA will follow AMZN’s playbook, but my gut tells me they will. Amzn is heavily RSU based total pay. So if stock spikes, you will reap the benefit for a couple of years. Google is more steady pay since it’s heavier cash %. At the same time, it’s less Boom and less crash as well
That was during the hiring frenzy. Now the bands are 250-325 for mid level and 350-500 for Senior in Seattle.
These are the correct bands. Rumors also state that all new offers going forward will be capped at 50% of the band, meaning L5 (mid) would be $287K and L6 (senior) would be $425K.
What is the breakdown on that TC? Doesn't Amazon have a weird vesting schedule so TC would change every year?
