Do these types of startups have less chance in general of going unicorn and having a meaningful exit for series B+ employees? Seems the best bets have been the consumer type startups like Affirm, Square, Uber, Instacart, Robinhood, Coinbase, etc Last enterprise type SaaS I can think of that had an exit was Blend but even still their stock dropped pretty heavy since IPO. Well there is Asana, Splunk, Datadog also now that I think of it.
Enterprise SaaS startups are one of the safest bets when it comes to exits in my mind. With consumer it is either blockbuster (10s of $Bs) or bust. With enterprise there’s a lot that go into the $B range and exit. In addition to the ones you mentioned, ServiceNow, Freshworks, SevOne, Dropbox, NewRelic, Guthub, Gitlab, Hashicorp… can keep going.
No snowflake and confluent? Come on now. Maybe include Databricks and plaid as well
