I am negotiating offers for Epic Games and Amazon. Senior and L5 respectively. Epic Games Senior 200k base 100k sign on 75k first year bonus guarantee 65k anniversary bonus 60k second year bonus 430k first year 330k second year Both are variable based on quarterly bonuses Averages to 375 both years. Amazon L5 350 TC 160k base 185k sign on bonus. I have E5 FB next week, with Epic being so high should I just sweeten the deal and take Epic and not deal with more LC? The LC grind is mind numbing. Would an E5 offer be that much more than 375 in Seattle? Current TC 270k YOE: 11 TC drops to 220 mid year with vest cliff at MSFT. UPDATE: I took the offer at Epic Games!
I think Epic lures you with high TC in first 2 years and then it takes a regression. That is a common trick for gaming and entertainment industries. So it depends on whether you plan to stay past 2 years.

11yoe should not land you at L5 AMZN. You should be at L6 which materially changes the comp
