Equity in Seed Round Stage Company
- Employee #5 @ tech startup, killer team and Angel Investors - YOE 5 + MBA - Worked in Investment Banking/corp Dev prior How much equity should I ask for? Got an offer that seems undermarket, but dont want to put it out here to bias opinions.

At this point you are probably your own department. Ask for 2-3 %
What level are you joining as? If director and above then somewhere around 0.5-1%. Other levels will be around 0.25-0.5%. This is my guess on what they will offer. You can of course ask for 1% but highly unlikely they will give that since majority of stocks would be owned by investors and founders and what is reserved for employees is less. 15-20 people getting 1% will just end the pool :)
