I received an offer from Clover Network - A fiserv company for Senior software engineer. Base: 155K Additional incentives: 15K I want to know how is the company culture. Current TC: 147K
I have interview coming up with clover. Can I dm you?
Sure
Do NOT take it. Clover is a sinking ship. Any semblance of good company culture left along with all the talent.
Well said.
interesting, i been seeing its usage expand a lot among the biz near me. why u say sinking?
Everyone who can find another job has already left Clover.
What role and location? Clover culture is decent, not as great as before but nothing big to complain about.
This is with Clover sport(bypass). Location is Austin. Role Sr cloud engineer.
Ask for 15k more
Clover is outperforming the rest of Fiserv in culture, revenue, whatever. Remote flexible. Biggest issues are comp is not at FAANG standard and they are associated with Fiserv, which is slow to change. NYC, Sunnyvale, and Colorado Springs locations are best for engineers.
TC Depends on location and seniority, bonus is 25% split 60% RSU/40% cash. POS team is super senior and gets a lot of say in product architecture.
POS org has great people. Tech stack good, typical story - legacy monolith undergoing microservice decomposition with k8s. Backend Java, frontend web in React/Typescript. POS devices are Android-based. Clover has a smaller-company feel even though it is part of the larger Fiserv entity. It is not a "I'm a tiny cog in the machine" situation for employees. The org is relatively flat for the number of people, so visibility at Clover is high and individual impact radius is wide.
You can see the reviews for Fiserv here on blind and Glassdoor. https://www.thelayoff.com/fiserv
I feel Glassdoor reviews are messed up by company
I personally suggest not to join. Culture and values deteriorated after first data merge. There is no flexibility of working from home.
