I interviewed for Sr.SWE but the position was closed while my recruiter was vacationing. He called me back to say the on-site result was very positive and they have an IC2 opening and gave some numbers to see if I'd be interested. I'm not sure if the numbers are accurate, could someone at Etsy confirm this? Position - IC2 Base - 135k Bonus - 10% RSU - 300k (I cannot validate this on the internet. Did the recruiter may be gave a wrong number?) #etsy #etsycompensation Potential TC - 280k (Math doesn't add up to me & levels.fyi says a much lower RSU for IC2. Is it possible my recruiter fucked up the numbers?)
That seems high for IC2.
RSU seems high. I got ic3 offer recently with less RSU
DM you? Just got an ic3 offer as well
Can i dm both of you? I’m expecting an ic3 offer and want to make sure I’m getting something fair
It’s wrong
Any update ?
So what's important is the vesting period. 4-Year = $210k per year (75k in RSUs per year) 3-year = $235k per year I didn't include the bonus. And I don't know how you got a potential total comp of 280k. 10% if your base only adds 13.5k to the above totals.
The recruiter mentioned the TC would be like 280k, since he was only giving me ranges. I don't see the RSU average mentioned more than 50k pa for this role on the internet. I'll update the post after I have a clarifying call with the recruiter.
Yeah these would be great clarifying questions. 1. Ask how many RSU's and compare that to Etsy's current price and valuation. ($212) The above math should give you about 1400 RSUs 2. Ask what the vesting period is. 3. If the recruiter still says the same number and the above doesn't add up, ask what else is included in the comp.
