Etsy phone interview
Hey folks! I have a 45 minute phone interview scheduled with Etsy for SDE role. Any inputs are highly appreciated. Recruiter said that she thinks I could be a good fit for Software Engineer, Seller Add team. Any inputs about the interview, company, culture or the pay bands are highly welcome. Thanks!
Culture highly dependent on team. Is chaotic so need to figure things out self, some teams have a lot internal politics and drama, moving teams is rare at manager discretion
Pay is acceptable but not the most competitive. Culture is definitely dependent on team, unfortunately ads isn't known for having the best. The ads team is known for losing folks a year after they join, would recommend if you're into favoritism but not if you want a supportive environment free from competition.
I had one a while back. I think it was 45 mins call with the manager of the team I was interested in. 30 mins of talking and 15 mins for a leetcode easy.
