Just got a test invite for an internship. Does anyone know about the format of this test, or know of things I should brush up on before (OS concepts, math, or leetcode)?
Took it a few days ago, just some leetcode questions. One thing that tripped me up was that even though they give you 70min for 4 questions, you actually want to complete it as fast as possible. Code quality, # of test cases passed, and the time remaining when you submit are all factors in your score. I thought that the time didn't matter as long as you submit within the 70min they give you and you have great code that passes all test cases, but I ended up only getting 62/100 on speed score cuz i submitted @ the 60th minute out of 70 (I got a 100/100 in code quality and test cases). Had I known, I probably could have gotten it down to like 45 mins.
How is code quality assessed?
I don't know honestly. The scoring wasn't immediate, it came in after like 2-3 days, so I'm guessing that was done manually.
It's leetcode like, but not as hell bent on algorithm. And codesignal sucks, brace yourself for technical difficulties.
I took it. First question was easy. Second question medium. Third question was hard, I couldn’t get it. 4th question was medium-hard but straight off of LC lol so easy to me. If you know tricky math, parsing strings, manipulating matrixes, you should be aight lol.
