Ever escalated any email thread to a CEO?

I had to do twice in my life. It can be any company: current employer, ex-employer, where you interviewed, etc. Curious to know if there are more blind'ers with similar experience.

I did to Jeff Bezos for not receiving my package on ETA.

Cloudera southie Sep 11, 2019

Did you get that to Bezos? Or was another company?. You might shed some light who you are if you overshare here though

Yeah, I sent an email directly to Marc He responded to me kindly, then magically everyone leaned the fuck in to what needed to happen

Rivian sgSclx Sep 11, 2019

Amazing how that happens and how nice everyone gets on the surface huh?

I didn't get to that level but I did have a private meeting with Srini once. He was visiting our non-HQ office and said I should make some time to say hi when I was in SF. Several months later I was in SF and said "what the heck" and emailed him and we met the next day. We chatted about a bunch of stuff relevant to my team/product and also about some more strategic things.

Yes. I bought a car and the deal soured when the dealership wanted 5k more after my down payment on a Maserati. I got my money back and told them to keep the car. Emailed Sergio when he was alive. He was a hands-on micromanager as the CEO of Fiat. That dude forwarded it to top brass and I had the car in 2 days with all maintenance + apology. Another was when Well Fargo was having scandals, we were being told by our company about doing business ethically. I almost emailed Ken Chenault and asked him why we bother with Wells and then preach that.
