EDIT: Thank you for all of the love. I'd like to place emphasis on the executive hiring part. If you're not at Dir level I won't be able to help. We post all other roles. Hope this helps! Thanks Blind! Lots of uneasiness in the market with Twitter and Robinhood. LinkedIn is hiring executive engineers (Dir+) as well as Distinguished Engineers and Tech Fellows. Most roles aren't posted, confidential, or we create a role for a great candidate (Every VP has discretionary spending/budget). So PM me if interested. Happy to help anyone explore internal positions at LinkedIn if you're standing on a rocky foundation or if you just want to explore. We'll end this fiscal year (June) with $14B in rev. Eyeing $20B next year. (18k employees // 6-7k technical talent - tiny team for the billions we're generating). Parent company MSFT is at $2.171T market cap (3rd largest on planet). MSFT is buying Blizzard for ~$80B - very stable to say the least. The only thing similar b/t LinkedIn and MSFT is we use Outlook. We have Teams, Slack, Zoom, Google suite, and MSFT suite. Use what you want. Pick a Mac. Pick a Dell. Whatever... We have all the benefits of MSFT without the redtape/glacier movement of a giant tech company. .50 on every $1 match up to IRS max for 401k, two week company shut downs. Unlimited PTO and just clear with manager, don't even submit to Workday. $2k in wellness every year can use for Travel - I just expensed a vacation. Lol Do your homework - check out reviews on Glassdoor and Blind - we're in the top ten best tech companies for most categories (WLB, comp/benefits, culture, etc.) We created knowledge graphs (meta borrowed this tech bc we didn't patent it...), kafka and more innovations I can't speak of. Remote work, hybrid, in office - whatever you prefer. 22 offices in South Bay. SF. Seattle. NYC and more offices are coming online in other cities (you prob know the ones). We still operate autonomously (We just acquired Oribi, Glint and a couple others after the MSFT purchase). We're innovating and LinkedIn is becoming a very sticky platform. Recruiters can't do their job without it, neither can sales folks for most industries. I came to LinkedIn to research companies over Googling companies...6 hires every minute. If everyone has access to network with fellow colleagues, learn a new skill, and find relevant work you just impacted someone's livelihood. If you're going to work, do something impactful vs helping ads efficiency by .00001% at Google/Meta. Speaking of ads, our ads platform helps companies grow, which creates more jobs, and they help candidates find work - we're not advertising pants or crocks... PM me with your LinkedIn profile and I'll connect you with executive leaders. At the very least just to network. TC: $250k (I'm a recruiter) TC household: $350k (wife's a recruiter) Still reading? Let's connect because the best time to connect with a recruiter (esp for executives) is before you need one. π #hiring #jobopening #recruiting #executiveengineers #executivesearch #executivehiring
How do I connect with you ?
PM me and send your LinkedIn profile pls.
few of the very neatly crafted posts on Blind
Thanks! π
It's disturbing recruiters can get paid > 100k. That's not right. Are tech recuriters tc also inflated right now?
Is it? I just closed a Sr. Dir of Engineering who will help revamp our LinkedIn Recruiter platform. The platform generates $10B annually. If he has a 30% impact that's billions in more revenue (and he can do it, unbelievable resume). If LinkedIn were to hire this candidate using a staffing agency they'd pay 30% on the low end. His comp was in the multi millions. I just made my annual comp and I'll hire 8 more of these folks this year alone. We're actually unpaid.
Yea +1 to LinkedIn. Good recruiters make a huge difference for candidates and for a company.
Thanks for the detailed post. I can feel the passion and sad to say that it's hard to come by these days. I am in the market for tech executive roles. Before I go any further, no, I didn't work for a FAANG or cool startup before. If that's enough info for you to rule me out, it's nice meeting you. I am not being salty but it's an unfortunate reality that I didn't know existed. Still interested to know me. Well, now you are in the selected group of recruiters that want to know the candidate beyond the superficial details. The last role was a VP of engineering at a 150yr old travel "tech" company. What did I do there? Designed and built a multi-tenant travel tech platform and an integration platform besides a building and growing an amazing global team of 150 and developed many leaders that I will be proud for many years to come. What else have I done, wrote a booking system for a large hotel chain besides a bunch of other things. Last time I worked for a tech company, Oracle, I took over their rules engine and enhanced it while everyone was scared of touching it. I wrote a bunch of games, one of the early and fully customizable IDEs in the early 2000s and won a bunch of programming contests and awards. I have developed a model to build high performance teams and executed that from teams of 10 to 200 with great results. Mistake I made, I assumed this will get me interviews. Boy, I couldn't be more wrong. I see the responses saying that we reviewed your profile and I see that you are not a fit when I did check every line for fit before applying. I wish they would add whatever other criteria they are using to the posting so that I wouldn't waste their time applying for it. Luckily, there are few recruiters that care and reached out to me directly n got the interviews n they are going well. Still interested? Let me know. I stopped my urge to DM you. I want to make sure you feel it's worth spending time to know me. Thanks for reading.
Interested. PM me your LinkedIn pls. And this whole FAANG thing is more so about scope and scale then anything else. The FAANGs of the world have had to build web applications and platforms that can sustain billions of users globally. When you're writing ML models used for ranking and recommendation at that scale it's just in a different ballpark. BUT I think there's amazing talent at non FAANG companies. Great talent is everywhere. The kid teaching himself/herself to code right now and have no formal education could very well change the world.
Interesting that you claimed that you did all of it.
Hi @HumorMee I manage about 120 engineers/managers/directors world-wide, including coding ,SRE's,support. Looking for Director/Sr director roles. If this is up your alley,DM me
I sadly cannot actively help current MSFT folks. They made this clear on onboarding

Do you have any Software Engineering Manager or Manager, Product Manager positions? I used to be a technical product manager and Iβm a Manager now of Product Managers and a Scrum team.
We do and most all of those are posted. I only handle executives - sorry. You should be able to find the postings easily enough. For every role posted on LinkedIn the recruiter for the role is also on the posting. Highly recommend you connect with them and add a note to the connection request (hack to skip premium/using an inmail credit). Best of luck and let me know if you have more questions.
