Hi guys. I am interested in Program manager II role at Expedia. I come from project management and operations background and I believe this will be a good step for my career to transition more into more IT side. When I am reading reviews on glassdoor and blind regarding Program manager 2 role interviews I keep on stumbling upon Tech Program Manager who are expected to be lot more technical to do their job. Can someone please explain me how technical you need to be in order to be a program manager(not technical program manager). #pm #programmanager Tc: 140K

Technical Program Manager was recently renamed as Program Manager, but job duties remained the same. During interview, I was asked questions on scrum, project management scenarios and scale/architecture of my previous work experience. Technical questions were very high level to check if I understood the domain, and very focused on team and job description. I interviewed for a technical team. So based on the team you are applying, i’d suggest you to check with an Expedia employee on the type of technical questions to expect.
