Hi! I am expecting an offer for a PM role at Aurora and wanted to see how it stacks up. Below are numbers the recruiter and I have talked about, but it is not official. Base salary isn’t much higher than what I make now, but I also don’t know what kind of equity package I might receive. Also wondering how open to negotiation they are. Base: 190k Equity: ??? Annual Bonus: 12.5% Sign On: $5000 Current TC: 160k YOE: 5 Location: Bay Area. Also would love to hear what life at Aurora is like! Is it worth the jump? #offer #tech #aurora #startup
your base is higher than your total TC...? "isn't much higher than what I make now" doesn't make sense.
What did you get offered for stock options? I’d try for a higher base ($220).
OP: just curios what was your final offer? Accepted it?
They didn’t budge on the salary or equity, but did bump the signing bonus. A little disappointed, but I accepted it for the opportunity and potential for growth. Final numbers: Base: $190k Equity: 15k ISOs Sign On: $20k Status: verbally accepted, waiting on official offer letter. Keep in mind this was for a nontechnical role which might be why there was less wiggle room, especially in equity.
Good company, but just be aware of your 90 day exercise window! If you decide to leave the company before all your stock options vest, you'll be in trouble. Don't expect to find a non-recourse loan for your options at the current market conditions. https://carta.com/blog/pte-90-day-window/
Did not know about this. So if you have say 200k options as per strike price, you have to pay200k cash to purchase them?
Try 200k base. 65k stock options I have been hearing around your yoe
65k per year? based on common or preferred price?
Hi you are at Aurora, you should know that. 65k options for 4 years. Let me know if you heard above that recently?
