Performance improvement plan (pip). Amazon or AWS has no regards for people and their skills. Either your manager likes you based on your writing ability or obedience or the badge color, or does not like you resulting in the immediate Dev List (later PiP). It’s that simple. Sometimes they don’t tell you about your Dev List, and you might find out during your team transfer. The NYT article about Amzn is true, don’t do it unless you have no other offers or you’re desperate. Ps: For disclosure purposes I was rated tt (top performer) this year.
