Hi everyone, I got an email today confirming I’d cleared the interview process with Meta (Data Scientist). Haven’t received the written offer yet, but I expect TC to be higher than my current one. However, I’m concerned about making this move. Expedia has its drawbacks, but WLB is exceptional, and that’s something I truly value. I’m worried about WLB at Meta in London. For those at Meta in London: what are you thoughts about WLB? Anyone has switched from Expedia to Meta or viceversa and can share their opinions? Thanks! Yoe: 5 TC: £86k
Mind DMing about your on-site experience? I have my DS on-site coming up. Also looking to jump Expedia -> Meta but in Seattle.
I went from Expedia to Airbnb. My TC went up 40% but I’m probably working 2x as hard.
Was this Airbnb in London?.
Not trying to be a dick but yeah the WLB in London for the data scientists is so good that my team is always getting screwed over in Seattle by things not getting done. I work like 10 hour days and then hear shit like this.
How does salary compare between Seattle and London?
My salary as a senior analyst is 115k no RSU and no Sign on
I would jump ship without thinking. Change job after a year or two if WLB is bad. You'll have more leverage with Meta on you CV to find a job with much better pay and even better WLB

What level did you join meta? Would you recommend joining meta London for folks who already have a bad wlb in India?
You join Meta. And then you realize that everything you knew about bad WLB was at one level and what's here is an entirely different level of toxicity. This place will suck your soul
