Explanation for work gap in resume/interviews

Basically I had got physically hurt last year and had to took a few months off for it. I was pretty burnt out from the whole recovery process and left my job after the break, which was about a year ago. I am currently starting to apply/interview again. Admittedly, I could have returned to work a lot sooner but ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ. Also, I did nothing programming related during my break unfortunately. 1) should i include the โ€œmedicalโ€ gap in my resume? 2) when/if it comes up during interviews, is there a better way to say โ€œi just needed to chill after I got back on my feetโ€? 3) any advice in general with getting back into my career after a break. Tc: 0 (was like 180) Yoe: 3 years (not including gap) Tldr: I got hurt. Took a year off. Looking for general advice regarding my gap.

Think including medical emergency/time to recover from injury can be put in the resume Though, just make sure to emphasize that it's not a reoccurring condition in interviews cuz that might get you subject to bias.
