WITCH = Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Cog, HCL, and other Indian IT consulting companies Talking about WITCH in USA, not India; WITCH has been hiring USA Citizen new grads in the USA past few years. I am one such person. I know many work at WITCH in India before coming to USA to do MS but that is NOT what I am talking about here. With WITCH as your first job out of school, is it possible to still have a successful career at good companies? I joined WITCH out of school and have moved on to a non-tech company. Still quite junior overall. Is it possible to make it to a good tech company in Seattle/California? Or does being ex-WITCH doom me to a life of mediocrity and despair? Are there any success stories of ex-WITCH people in the USA making it to good companies and are there any tips you might have for someone trying to do this? This is all for SWE. I also never get recruiters contacting me on Linkedin even though I have set 'open for jobs'. No surprise there I guess
WITCH who are American citizens should highlight that in resume to get noticed
It would help with potential visa issues but not any WITCH concerns which i am more worried about. Seems like people on visa still have no problem getting jobs at good companies.
you can always leave WITCH out of resume, if let say they ask then you can say it is irrelevant experience or you was contractor at... <Client Name> instead of saying you work for WITCH
Nice where are you headed? How hard was it for you to get interviews and offers?
Was working with CTS, Infy before , but landed in a lower level @MS (63,13 yoe). Do LC and system design, do mock interviews
Congratulations! Do you mind sharing your infy tc and new msft tc?
