How do Californians feel about the daily lootings at stores like Gucci, Louis V, Nordstrom, etc?

Only non-Californians worry about such crime. We have come to terms with paying shit ton of taxes so that a bunch of lunatic liberal cults can flush them down the drain.

Meta chat2 Aug 12, 2023

Ca doesn't have high taxes. Love that meme

All the normal people left. The only people who live there embrace such diversity!

Meta chat2 Aug 12, 2023

Think it's funny how obsessed the news has become with petty crime.

Amazon nyhY4u2F Aug 13, 2023

Just an exercise, can you see if you could find any evidence of this kind of mass looting occurring regularly any time in the last 4 decades outside the last few years? It is news worthy as it’s a fundamental shift to how the US social fabric is declining.

Literally nobody in California cares except for those who don’t live here and who want to say California sucks or they are giving an excuse as to why they can’t hang here and moved.

Atlassian OneCycle Aug 13, 2023

“People voted for this” is the dumbest take on this. If you want to blame anything for people acting like this, blame late stage capitalism.

Adobe GbNi29 OP Aug 13, 2023

People voted for soft on crime policies (for certain races benefitted by affirmative action).

Atlassian OneCycle Aug 13, 2023

Voters literally recalled a DA.

I don’t care. I never set foot in those trash cities. The idiot leftists that live in SF and Oakland voted for this, they can choke on it.

Atlassian OneCycle Aug 13, 2023

Could you elaborate on how exactly people voted for this? Be specific.

Volkswagen of America IDGJ50 Aug 13, 2023

Sure Atlassian. Here’s one example. About three weeks ago, during the Dolores Hill Street bomb, a few hundred youths decided to turn the event into a riot. They were graffiti’s on muni, cars, throwing bricks, and bottles, firing fireworks at police officers. It was declared an illegal assembly. The SFPD rolled in, and arrest about 150 people. many of them were minors. The next day, supervisor Dean Preston and some others were on a public forum, pounding the podium about investigating the police for brutality, and asking how they could be so insensitive to the community. Basic functions of law enforcement are blocked by the absurd, extremist views of the elected representatives. Those representatives were voted in by the citizens of SF. Therefore, they asked for this shit sandwich, and now they can eat it.

Twilio Tawlys Aug 14, 2023

Unpopular opinion maybe but shoplifting needs to have more strict consequences. What I have in mind might be considered cruel and unusual punishment so probably wouldn’t fly.
