No cash bonuses? Just shitty base pay + shitty RSUs for one company?
No sign on bonus but they say bonus is 0-20%, what the hell is 0-20% mean lol
Expect no bonus if they say 0-20%. Maybe 8% if you perform top.
So I’m at a mortgage startup and all SWE are working long ass hours. On call is rough in mortgage right now as every vendor enhances security.
I’ll save my ptos for those auspicious days 😌
Most of my team isn’t getting PTO approved as easily as last year. Expect that.

You need to prepare better, improve resume with quality than quantity. It’s not going to be a 2-3 month prep and you get 300-400 offers. It will take a year or 2. Make sure you work your azz off and choose a company which offers you an option to learn and implement at scale.

Market isn’t terrible. The ones complaining are just much louder than the ones who get good offers
Then explain to me why they’re laying off tons of folks in every damn company
Explain to me why I regularly get recruiter emails and got 5 $300k+ offers since March
crap , is that in India ?
I wish, east coast remote jobs are considered to pay way lesser than west coast ones 🤷🏻♂️

I wish! I need a hr who would think like you
Sounds like T-Mobile salaries. 🥜
120 is just too fucking little. But then that’s what those companies are paying, try other places. And most of the job openings list out the base range
The problem is I need to get a remote coz I’m making the switch to west coast :/ can’t live on the east no more :/
There are plenty of SF startup jobs that will pay more base. Just search on linkedin
