I am 24 years old, and I am already worrying about myself getting laid off due to ageism. This might be just me, but I am from East Asian country, ageism kicks in when you are past 35 years old in my home country. How do you foresee yourself when your age is in between 40 and 50 career-wise? TC: 144k (CAN) YOE: 0

Just chilling
By buying bitcoin now and not having to worry what to do in 15 years. Duh
if you are an IC you need to keep up with the latest tech trends to survive long term.
Absolutely not interested in going back to school or go to management. I'll ride as an IC until I can't keep up or companies think I'm too old. Hoping to have enough in the bank when that happens. I've worked with many highly qualified 50+ senior staff engineers and never seen anything other than respect for them, so I don't think ageism is that bad if you are competent
Gettin the fuck out and making financial independence
Where's starting your own company?
You missed one .. stay on the IC path Senior staff => distinguished engineer => fellow
