Only G remains an attractive employer. What’s the new list? F stock has been in free fall 🍎 doesn’t have tech perks A is a PIP factory sweat shop. N has been dethroned by Disney G is still🚀 This is not personal. Don’t make it personal. 345
G isn’t attractive. They pay like shit
Nvidia!
I think there will not be a market for the next 5 years to hire js/Python developer for 400k, anywhere.
you feel prestigious because of your compensation not because the company you work for is in good standing.
This is not about prestige. Culture/ non- monetary perks/business performance matter to people.
🤡
Apple has perks, you have to be in the spaceship to get them.
Have close friends at Apple. No free food, no coffee bars, very strict time-off rules, RTO, no no-mtg fridays, I can’t think of what’s a good perk they offer Maybe discounts on Apple products
Very org dependent. RTO is twice a week at the moment and still not mandatory. Our org just started no meeting Fridays. No free food? its subsidized, so we pay $8-10 twice a week, ohno! We have free coffee/espresso (have to make it yourself, ohno!), or pay $1-2 at the cafe. My manager dgaf about time off as long as we're producing. Your results may vary 🙃. Not the best "perks", but people will keep buying iPhones, so AAPL will keep going up 😎
Amazon PIP is way overblown. Every company lets go of people who are bad at the bottom. Amazon just has a transparent process about it. There’s other reasons to not like Amazon, but complaining about PIP just doesn’t make sense.
“Amazon just has a transparent process about it. “ Exactly the opposite happens. HR literally guides management not to inform reports about underperformance and their pip/focus entry
Isn't F Ford lol
F is Financial Services company
You forgot the G lowball. No need to stock drop if they don’t pay you that much to begin with.
not in my case. sure, my initial system-generated offer was shit, but it was increased 30% TC after negotiations
My case, Meta gave more than Google. I didn’t bother trying to match it with Google. I would have signed on with Google for less than Meta, but apparently I was being greedy for trying to match my current pay.
