I just got an enrollment email for FB's 401k using Fidelity. I like Vanguard better. Anyone know if it's possible to use Vanguard instead? I'm kind of new to the investment world. Should I be checking with FB to see if this is possible or what do I need to do?
You’ll get used to their shitty UI in a few months
I’ll take fidelity over vangaurd any day
You are doing it wrong if you trade constantly. 401k is not a trading account. Stash away for retirement
Most 401ks only have one provider and you do not get a choice. If you do want to verify it’s a Facebook specific question.
FB doesn’t use Vanguard, you can pick Vanguard funds within your fidelity account, or are you saying you prefer the interface?
Yeah the interface. I also just like having everything in the same account so I don't have to keep track of my ira and 401ks and personal investment accounts separately. But that's ok.
What I do for this is add external accounts to my Schwab account so that I can see it all in one place. Schwab does a great job of consolidating and categorizing your accounts. It’s a way better interface too.
This is what happens when you read too much reddit
You are not special. The company doesn't give every employee an option to select brokerage of choice. Fresh grad?
Nope
No wtf
