TC is exactly same. 185k (base + (stock + sign) / 4) G (Kirkland) -> Google GCP frontend product FB (Seattle) -> Bootcamp. My concerns: 1. I value growth over WLB (And based on what everybody is saying, FB seems to be a better place to grow). 2. Green card policy. I think FB PERM issue has been resolved, but there seems to be some uncertainties over the process still. So Google is a clear winner. 3. Office location. I live in Seattle downtown and FB Seattle office is pretty dope. Commuting to Kirkland is doable, but (Seattle Seattle) >>>>> (Seattle Kirkland). What do you think? My TC: 155 (base + (stock + sign) / 4) YOE: 11 months #google #facebook
I read that as 185 base 😳. Was about to change my name and apply as a new grad
+1
It depends. If TC and time until senior matter to you- go with FB. If you want to chill, and still have just as good exit opportunities but maybe slower internal growth go G. I’m glad I went with FB, but my friends at G are not at all unhappy with what they chose.
I get the growth part but why TC? Is YOY TC growth better at FB?
FB might pay slightly more per-level but then factor in faster promo = faster pay bumps
I’d pick FB if you don’t really care about wlb and focus more on career progression. It’s much slower at G. Only pick G if you want good wlb and don’t mind progressing at a much slower pace.

Modi is a legend, will be remembered for centuries to come
At lower levels, go to the faster company if everything else is identical. Prioritize for growth. Middle and higher levels, go to whatever work culture might suit you best. G is probably better in terms of documentation, planning, etc. F will be better if you prefer to just get stuff shipped and iterate.
That's exactly what I am thinking, but PERM issue at FB is what I really worry about.
