Got a phone interview in ~ 2 weeks with Facebook for a Systems Engineer role. Heavy Linux and Automation.. coding round is up first and then systems after. How best to prepare for the coding round? Currently planning on going through the Leetcode FB section.
sub0740 doesn't have any idea what they're talking about. "Systems Engineer" doesn't get special coding questions -- questions are the same as generalist and product candidates. Leetcode should do fine for practice. You'll get either 2 mid-sized questions or a single meatier one. I have done many such interviews and I only ask a single question. If you get taken on-site for the full interview loop: don't neglect the system design interview. This is what is going to determine your offer level. It's pretty common for an otherwise solid candidate to do well on the coding interviews but not end up with an offer because they botch the system design part.
Be Fast & clear. You HAVE to target 2 DS questions in 45 min. easy to med then med to diff. Depends on the interviewer too. Leetcode FB is a good start but target other sections like Yelp, MS, Google and Uber too. The more variety of questions you do the more you get better.
Sorry, DS questions?
