Little over 115K stocks will vest in the next 12 months, without considering promo related increments, and will have the annual increase in January. Recruiter confirmed that HC cleared the packet for IC5. WhatsApp infra org. Initial numbers provided by the recruiter: Base: 180K Stocks: 275K - 300K Bonus: 15% Haven't mentioned sign on bonus and told that they will try to fill the TC gap with this. I have told the recruiter that there is no way I can accept this offer. Recruiter is asking what TC would make me to move. Thoughts? Not sure if I should stick with G for promo and try the move later. Hoping WhatsApp org will have a good career trajectory but any thoughts of culture there? I started interviewing for the role. Wasn't planning for it.
The base is pretty solid. You can push it probably a few thousand more. For the RSU’s try pushing it to 350 and see what the recruiter says. I assume you won’t move unless it’s at least 20% change? To be honest, I wouldn’t accept it if it’s not at least a 25% increase because your due a promotion. And that only depends on the refresher inc after your promo.
FB in general give less to TPMs then Google and Amazon and others, do not move unless 20-30% hike, you will also lose WLB
Elaborate on WLB? Even with WFH, it hasn't been bad at G. It's actually pretty good so far. Very flexible with timing and everything. Definitely it will be a big blocker since my wife and I are expecting our first baby early next year.
I have seen posts about WLB not great at Amazon and FB. Not sure in what way. Also, this role is in WhatsApp org, so I was expecting it to be little different.
Thank you both. Yes, I'm thinking of same 25-30% increase. I don't see an incentive otherwise. Also, I'd get new refreshers anyway at G and will miss out on my yearly bonus, without considering the promo related increase.
Update: rejected the offer as the new offer was only 6% increase compared to current G's TC. 190+325+15%+40K

Not sure if its a solid offer since I'm walking away from almost similar TC + G's upcoming refresher. I'd guess I wont have FB's refresher until a year later.
