Recruiter reached out for a data scientist role in the infra team. She described a ton of topics for the interview - statistics, SQL, machine learning, and leetcode. Each of this looks like a deep sea in itself. Can anyone help me with tips to prepare? If anyone has interviewed for the role, I would love to chat.
Lol @ Ā«Ā machine learningĀ Ā». This is basically a business analyst role. The closest thing to ML youāll do is a linear regression.
It doesn't look that way from the job description
Oh maybe infra is different then
New grad or professional? It basically covers all the topics she described but at a surface level. You'll need to know leetcode easy, numpy/pandas, basic SQL (joins/aggregates), basic stats (t test vs z test, CIs, p value, etc). You'll only really be asked ml if you have prior exp, and even then it'll be basic algos (ie sgd)
Thanks. Does leetcode easy includes data structures algo like graphs, trees, DP? I am a non CS grad so my knowledge about data structures algo is close to zero. Not a new grad.
FB loves trees. A lot. Focus on those and the other basic data structures. No need to worry about graphs/other complicated DS or DP. Also know your BFS/DFS
