FB vs TikTok vs Google
Recently interviewed all three companies. FB E4 offer: Base: 170k Sign on: 50k Bonus: 10% RSU: 330k Average yearly TC: ~270k Has stock refresh, stable, significant gap in terms of TC TikTok 2-2 offer: Base: 210k Bonus: 25% RSU: 400k - 580k @$195 per share Average yearly TC: ~420k Nice team, No stock refresh, Poor WLB, uncertain IPO Google: still in team match phase, no offer confirmed yet. But also targeted L4 level. YOE: 3.5
tiktok is 996 sweatshop
FB. Work hard to quickly promo to E5, then decide if you have the grit to go for E6, or if you want to focus on WLB then apply for L5 at Google.

Normally i wont suggest tiktok but its an uplevel and TC diff is too high. Is there really no sign on?

For me TikTok would be no brainer, the main reason being they are growing the fastest. In 2 yrs, your TC would probably tripple where as other companies it might go up by 15%. Even if you look into this year/quarter, every other companies were impacted with the exception of tiktok.
It’s quite uncertain tho… the IPO could be held forever.
Who cares? The cash comp alone beats your other two offers
Hearing tiktok is a sweatshop with poor WLB. I prefer normal WLB over high TC so either FB or G.
Geez, TikTok offer looks crazy even if it's paper money at the moment. If currently TC > wlb, go for it

I see this too… It’s only the TC gap here makes it a hard decision.
Keep in mind it's paper money and full 25% bonus is also not guaranteed. 195 is very high.
If you’re Chinese and know the language, and are ready to work the 996 schedule, sure, otherwise why would anyone even interview there?!
