Shutdown means FBI counter terrorism and anti gang investigations are no longer able to make payments to confidential sources, stopping their investigations and in some cases permanently losing sources inside target organizations. But Trump's making us all safer by demanding a pointless wall...

Democrats can open the government by passing the bill currently in the Senate. They would rather see Trump fail than America succeed.
Democrats already sent a bill to the Senate that reopens the govt. Unlike the GOP bill the Democrat one is straight forward and just gets the government funded without controversial add ons. GOP bill loaded in their wish list of things no one else wants and is an attempt to extort the American people.
The senate bill has poison pills including in it courtesy of the traitor Stephen Miller. It would never pass anything. Trump is proud to shut it down he said so himself.
Dems are not in a hurry to have the federal workers paid either. this is where bigotry starts and ends
Actually in the first day in office they sent bills to reopen the governnent. Simple, clean bills that do just that and nothing more. Only one side is trying to extort the American people by insisting on bills loaded with unpopular and controversial things.

"fence or wall", there's a big difference in cost. Democrats already voted for and built a fence on 700 miles of the border. That doesn't cost 5.6 billion. No even close.
Also to;dr; Border Patrol agents were constantly receiving emergency calls about the mayhem on the campus — and of course, when agents showed up, the aliens would take flight, creating dangerous and disruptive chases. Can you imagine if your school or workplace were the site of quasi-daily law-enforcement hot pursuits? That was simply part of the Laredo Community College experience. And although illegal immigrants were a nuisance, the real danger to the university and its students were the cartel members using the campus, specifically the tennis courts and parking lot, to make major drug deals. Right across the border from Laredo is the Mexican city of Nuevo Laredo. Like many border towns in Mexico, it has been completely taken over by the drug cartels. With alarming frequency I would hear gunfire from Mexico as the cartels fought one another (or, occasionally, the Mexican government). These cartels used to trespass onto the college campus to make drug deals.
The FBI was founded in political cronyism. Shut it down for good.

The bigger safety issue is compromising the TSA.
The agency which fails every single test of its ability to do its one job, detecting weapons and bombs? I personally know government employees who regularly sneak bombs through TSA to test their detection... they don't detect anything except your toothpaste.
TSA is make job for lower class after they get discharged from military....which is another make job.
Informants need a salary cut and sacrifice too....all these entitled babies can do leetcode and easily get off of being dependent on gov money
