I'm fortunate enough to get new grad swe offers for both Facebook and Coinbase. Here are the offer details: 1. Facebook/Meta Location: Seattle Base: 118k USD RSU: 150k USD, 25% vest each year Sign on: 50k USD Relocation Bonus: 10k USD Performance Bonus: 10% of base but can be more if overachieve 2. Coinbase Location: Remote(Canada) Tried to ask for a Remote US offer but they can't give me unless I have US citizenship or Green Card Base: 120k CAD RSU: 37.5k USD/Year Performance Bonus: 5% of base, but saw on blind that there are stock multiplier (if you get a performance rating of 4, you will get 1.5x the RSU, if the rating is a 5 you will get 2x ?) And some remote first stipends Reason to choose Facebook: Better TC (especially first year lol, but second year is not that much different) Seattle has lower tax and I think there's more opportunities for me in the future if I stay in Seattle compare to Canada. Good relocation benefits: free corporate housing for the first month Free food and gym Reason to choose Coinbase: Work from home so a lot less living expense Leader in Crypto trading, have good upside and room for growth Can be cool to learn more about Crypto and Blockchain Both companies have the flexibilities of choosing teams Both companies seemed to have equally bad work life balance :( (those pip stories are scary) I will work hard but I'm not like those people who are aiming for promotion in 1 year or something so I hope to still have some work life balance. What are the teams that have better wlb in both companies? Both companies are great in general and I'm super happy to receive offer from both. But I still want to carefully evaluate both companies before making a decision. Although FB has higher TC and benefits, I still want to see if Coinbase is worth considering since it is also a cool company. Please share your thoughts! Thank you so much! #engineering #swe #facebook #coinbase #newgrad

Why is our country owned by Israel? I don't want my tax dollars fund genocide. How can we stop this nonsense?
Always have that brand on new grad resume.
True, but I don’t think thats the main difference between the two here, I’m sure coinbase is reputable enough in tech anyways
I would argue Coinbase is better for new grad: 1- Can make more money with the performance rating multipliers 2- Can probably learn more at coinbase than at Facebook (Larger companies tends to have less amount of work for you) 3- And can still get that brand on new grad resume. Coinbase is tier 1-2
